The Society for the Medieval Mediterranean holds a biennial, themed conference, attracting an international speakers and audience. It focuses on the key aims of the society: to foster cross cultural and inter-disciplinary investigation, create a forum of ideas and encourage debate on the influence of Islamic culture on the Medieval Mediterranean.
The next conference, 'Communities, Imaginations, and Emotions in the Medieval Mediterranean', will be held at Ghent University, Belgium, 10-12 July 2017.
